Kaneyama is an apparel brand I created to blend Japanese culture with a modern streetwear vibe. Inspired by pop culture and all things Japan, the designs reflect a fusion of tradition and contemporary style. With a focus on clean aesthetics and bold details, Kaneyama aims to bring a fresh, refined look to streetwear while honoring its cultural roots.

VISUAL IDENTITY
The visual identity for Kaneyama takes inspiration from the beauty of mountains and their ridges, capturing a sense of strength and tranquility. The bold color palette draws from hues that resonate with Japanese culture, adding richness and depth to the brand. Paired with clean typography and thoughtful layouts, the design feels modern yet timeless, creating a versatile and striking presence that stands out while honoring its roots.
ILLUSTRATIONS
One of the main reasons I started Kaneyama was because of the joy I get from drawing and creating freely. In this section, you’ll get a glimpse of some of my illustrations, including designs from the Sakura collection. Two of these pieces are sneak peeks of unreleased designs, giving you a little taste of what’s to come. Every illustration reflects my passion for blending art with streetwear, creating something unique and personal.

Kaneyama aims to create quality products at friendly prices. With Kigen '24 serving as the baseline collection, it focuses on introducing the brand’s visual identity while capturing a modern, fresh feel. This collection blends bold colors and clean designs, setting the tone for what’s to come while staying true to Kaneyama’s roots in streetwear.
WHAT'S NEXT
Kaneyama is currently on pause at the moment, but with a rebrand in development, I’m planning to jump back in with fresh ideas and a clear vision. After taking a six-month break, I’m ready to put more time and focus into the brand, refining what it stands for and creating something I’m truly proud of. This next chapter is all about growth and building Kaneyama into something that feels authentic, exciting, and worth sharing. (11.17.24)
