ORB LAMP
For this project, I designed and built a lamp inspired by something I saw on Instagram. The original design was way out of my price range, but I knew I could create a similar piece myself. It wasn’t a simple process—I had to carefully measure everything to ensure the perfect fit, from the diameter of the light diffuser to the standoffs between the acrylic sheets. Using just a 24"x36" sheet of 1/8 inch acrylic, an orb light diffuser, some standoffs, a lightbulb socket, and some amateur electrical work, I was able to bring the vision to life. Now that it’s finished, the lamp happily lives in my podcast set, adding a clean and modern touch to the space while also saving me a significant amount compared to buying the original.
